Product Description

TeleVue Delos 72 Apparent Field Eyepieces Concept: It was natural to take lessons learned from the tremendously successful Ethos project and apply it going forward. In the fall of 2008, Paul Dellechiaie was tasked to investigate a long eye-relief eyepiece design in the 70° AFOV range, retaining the key performance goals met with Ethos. My father named Paul's design, ''Delos.'' Delos is a beautiful Greek island which happens to be the mythical birthplace of Apollo, god of light. More importantly the name was chosen to give recognition to Paul, principal designer of both Delos and Ethos. David Nagler   Introducing Delos Tele Vue is pleased to introduce the Delos, mid-to-short focal length line of 20mm eye-relief, 72 apparent field of view eyepieces. Every optical, mechanical, and ergonomic aspect was rethought to achieve reference-standard performance for any visual application. The Delos was conceived as a narrower field Ethos. Reducing the field to 72° allowed freedom to increase eye-relief, while controlling pupil aberrations, all without making the eyepiece too large. With Ethos performance standards as benchmarks, the Delos design achieves full field sharpness, virtually perfect f (theta) distortion mapping, and color neutrality. Image fidelity is maximized utilizing glass matched multicoatings and anti-reflection surfaces throughout the eyepiece. Contrast is further enhanced with a new, continuously adjustable height eyeguard system that can be locked in any position. Since the Delos eye-lens measures a quite large 35mm in diameter, preventing stray light from reflecting off the first surface and extraneous light from entering your eye pays off in a nice increase in percieved contrast. The eyeguard's sliding action allows for positioning the soft rubber eyeguard at the ideal height to suit the observer's preference.

TeleVue Delos Telescope Eyepieces Review

This is a truly exceptional eyepiece: views are extremely sharp for planetary and globular clusters. Using it with my 20" dob, I saw details that I never saw with any other eyepiece or telescope. Great, period.

Venture Horizon Revolving Media Tower Grande- Oak Review

My wife received this DVD holder for her birthday on Saturday, November 12th. The only reason I'm not giving you a review on the actual product is that we can't put it together. When we opened the box we discovered our DVD holder was missing a swivel plate.

So on the 13th we called the customer service for Spartak, apparently the same company as Venture Horizon, and left a message explaining the problem. We did not receive a call back on the 14th so on the Tuesday, the 15th I called them. They said they'd ship us one out that would be there by the end of the week, possibly the beginning of this week. After talking to them again today, Tuesday, the 22nd, I've found out that it still hasn't shipped and may not be here until at least Friday. It shouldn't be this hard to get a part sent to our house. If you're considering buying this product, take this into consideration.

On the upside, the DVD holder itself seems pretty nice. The quality of the parts seems good and the assembly, so far, has been easy enough.

Product Description

The TA31RCO is an Advanced Combat Optical Gun sight (ACOG) designed for the M16A4 Weapon system (20" barrel). It incorporates dual illumination technology using a combination of fiber optics and self- luminous tritium. This allows the aiming point to always be illuminated without the use of batteries. The Tritium illuminates the aiming point in total darkness, and the fiber optic self-adjusts reticle brightness during daylight according to ambient light conditions. This allows the operator to keep both eyes open while engaging targets and maintaining maximum situational awareness. Designed to the exact specifications of the United States Marine Corps, the unique reticle pattern provides quick target acquisition at close combat ranges while providing enhanced target identification and hit probability out to 800 meters utilizing the Bullet Drop Compensator. Price: $309.95

Product Feature

• Arca Swiss Monoball p0 with Panning System and QS Slidefix Quick Release System (Requires Plate)

Product Description

The p0 is a revolutionary tripod head design due to it precision, ease of use and its extraordinarily strong, concentric and uniform locking force. It's called Knobless because the traditional locking knobs have been removed and replaced by an ingenious geared mechanism. The p0 is precise, stylish, light and very strong - a hand of steel in a velvet glove! At first glance... The first thing you notice is that there are no knobs. You can grasp the tripod head from any angle, left or right and block it simply by turning the knurled part. There's no longer any need to fumble for the locking knob! The tripod head is equipped with three locking elements, arranged around the ball like planets. These locking elements apply a uniform force around the ball ensuringa smooth movement of the camera in any axis. As the camera is placed directly on the ball and not on its neck, the movements are as stable as if they were on a rubber ring. The patented aspherical ball also creates a gravitational friction force thus preventing sudden camera movement. The panning system is unconventionally located just below the camera mount, providing a panoramic rotation that remains in line with the vertical. Not only is the p0 particularly affordable, but it also offers a tilt ball range of 90 and 360 panning. Despite its super light weight of only 9,9 onces and compact format, it has unbeatable locking power. ARCA-SWISS has gone one step further to offer you tw

ARCA SWISS Monoball p0 with Panning System and QS Slidefix Quick Release System Review

So, being made by Arca-Swiss, this ballhead oozes precision and quality. I got the P0 because of its inverted design. (Being one of the lightest ballheads out there doesn't hurt either.) I've only seen one other ballhead, the Acratech GP, designed this way as well. Perfect panoramic shots are just part of using it. Come to think of it, why would you NOT want the panning base on top of the ball?

Anyway, yes it's fast and easy to use. However, the new plate design concerns me. Until the P0, all Arca-Swiss (and AS compatible) plates were considerably wider than this new plate. To me it looks like the design team was forced to make these plates smaller in order to keep the head small. Which it is. I just put this thing on a Benro Travel Angel, and it's about perfect. It does keep the feet wider when folded, than the tiny stock head, but the whole thing still fits in the travel bag that it came with.

I highly recommend this ballhead.

The only consideration I suggest is whether you have AS plates already. If you do, it may be cheaper to get a P0 with no clamp and an AS compatible clamp, instead of buying a bunch of new plates at $50 each.
