These speakers are absolutely killer, offering exceptional performance for the money. While $1798 is not chump change, especially in today's tumultuous economic environment, these speakers offer tremendous value for the money. Featuring a fairly large cabinet with four 8" active and passive drivers, these speakers move a lot of air with dynamic sound filled with excellent speed and articulation. Combining deep bass with traditional British values of pace, rhythm and timing, these speakers throw a huge soundstage with excellent tonal balance that is not out of balance in any portion of the frequency range. While the cabinet offers little in terms of sex appeal, simply pretending to be nothing more than the well made box it is, the drivers housed within the cabinet are special. In particular, the dual concentric midrange and tweeter are the result of years of research and development that yield sound free from any obvious coloration. Combined with the new aluminum 8" woofers, this dual concentric arrangement of midrange and tweeter drivers deliver incredibly clean vocals and high frequency extension that integrate seamlessly with the powerful mid and deep bass of the three woofers below. Regardless or source material, be it orchestral or stadium rock on the one hand or chamber music or female vocals on the other, these speakers play all types of music well at low, medium, or loud volumes. Before I make any large purchase I make sure to try and do my homework. I had an 8 year old panasonic lcd projection tv that worked fine but it was time for an upgrade. After looking at CNET, Consumer Reports, avs forums and others there was a consensus that this TV was the best TV of 2010. This TV has the best 3d and among the best 2d with some of the best black levels this side of the pioneer kuros series.

After bringing it home and setting it up I am blown away. The 3d picture is fantastic to a point while watching Avatar with my son he said "Is this real!" The 2d picture is also spectacular with excellent black levels. I set this tv up with my PS3, xbox 360, and Wii and they all look fantastic. 3d gaming on the ps3 is an immersive experience.

Overall, the only thing is that it is not as thin or flashy as the LED's but they can't touch the picture quality this tv gets. Great product!

I absolutely LOVE this laptop! I love the large screen and its crystal clear display. I love the keys and their spacing since I have big hands. The numeric key pad is a plus too. Intel Core i5 processor, check! ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6370 Graphics, check! Blu Ray player, check! Countless features to add simplicity and mobility to all my computing needs, check! This thing is fast! Set-up took all of 10 minutes and I was blazing through the Net in no time at all. This laptop has everything I want it to have with the small exception of built-in bluetooth. But that's minor since I can easily purchase a USB Bluetooth adapter for $20. I really thought there would be a noticeable difference in the speed and/or performance when compared to my desktop which has 8GB RAM. But, I have been pleasantly surprised and I may not even need to upgrade from the included 4GB. I also like that it has built in features to conserve battery life when not connected to the power cord. It automatically adjusts certain settings to optimize performance and then automatically readjusts when connected to the power cord. Overall this is a great laptop and I would definitely recommend it. This thing is so nice that I think I'll barely use my desktop now.

Focal 706V Loudspeaker - Black Ash Review

OUI! OUI! My French may not be the best but the Focal Chorus 706v's don't mind. These powerful 6" 2-ways made in Focal's France factory will do justice to all your music and movies. After about a 100 hour moderate volume break in the soundstage widened and deepened, the central image snapped into better focus and the speakers themselves seemed to "disappear" into the background. The 1" inverted tweeter is simply outstanding. Best sounding bookshelf speakers I've ever owned. JBL ES 30's run a very close second. However, to my ear, the smooth and balanced Focal sound beats Klipsch, Infinity, Definitive Technology, Polk and SVS by a country mile if exceptional overall sound is what you want.
