Handgun Scope 3X-12X Review

A scope of this power works best on a Thompson Contender, Thompson Encore, Remington XP-100, or similar handgun formats. It is a bit large for most revolver applications.

On a single-shot handgun, this scope really shines!!! The 12X power is enough to show you how much unsteadiness you have at range, and helps you to improve your "hold". The ballistic-plex reticle, once properly sighted, and one has determined the appropriate ranges for the additional "hash marks", allows one to shoot further ranges with better accuracy. It does not have any aids for compensating for wind, so one still has to do a manual holdover to compensate for wind.

Just installed one on a Wichita Silhouette .308 Winchester in left hand. The one I purchased here went on a Thompson/Center Contender chambered for 7 X 30 JDJ. I have had these on a number of calibers for a number of years, and, for a single-shot handgun, I wouldn't choose anything else!
