Paid a LOT more than what they're selling for now, but that has nothing to do with the review. Came with 3 broken lights, which I did get 2 replacements, but never received the 3rd light. I ended up buying my own from another place instead. Too much of a headache. 2 day shipping and took 2 weeks to get all the parts.

The kit itself is REALLY nice. Sturdy stands, great light and double layer softening. The light is good, I think it's coming in about 4750K for me, so not quite 5000, but setting your light meter solves that.

We are using this for a fixed small studio and it works great, I wouldn't want to have to carry this around though. The clamps and swivels are all plastic and that might be a problem if you're looking for something you need to adjust frequently, but this is also 1/3 the price of really rugged lighting.

Why 3 stars? 5 stars for the product. 3 stars for packaging and 1 star for follow up customer service with receiving damaged products. The only thing damaged were the bulbs themselves which are all packed in a corner of the box - not the best idea.

Would I buy it again - yes, but I wouldn't expect to have a fully functioning set before 2 weeks.
