Auto-tuning for $400? Too good to be truth but it is!

I bought this one after I return a Line 6 Variax JTV-89 which is $1200. I found out about this guitar through Guitar Magazine and how it won best guitar award or something.

It does what it says and it is just too easy! I mean is so easy! Just push the gain knob and then press the volumme knob after playing all open strings and thats it! Tune! Of course you have to have some tension on the string to be at no more than 5 half tones off either up or down.

This guitar doesnt get 5 stars because if you want to update the guitaar firmware you have to buy a MIDI interface to USB cable. Also if you want to do virtual capo you have to buy packets. So you have to connect it with the cable that you have to buy because it doesnt come with the guitar and then you go on the website and have to download the packets which cost $99, $199 and $299. Because I want to play my guitar so it sounds like an acoustic and I need to capo at 3rd, 4th and 5th fret, I have to buy the $199 software packet; meaning that this guitar is coming to $600 which is still half the price of what I paid for the JTV-89.

My last comment is that when you buy this guitar if you planning to use autotune constantly like I do, go ahead and by one of those rechargeable 4pack AA batteries with charger. You will need those batteries and is only smart to have 8 of those so you always have one ready to go. The guitar doesnt need the batteries if you are going to play through the pick-ups which sound great.

In all this guitar is kick-ass and cheap as hell. I had my doubts about a Peavey guitar since they are know for amp, but I took a leap of faith and it paid off! Once I get the software packets I will have everything I need.
