  I have a Nikon D90 a Nikon Coolpix. Both take excellent close up pictures. I've been getting into photography, so I thought I'd try this lens. It's not as good as I thought it would be. The lens doesn't do that much differently than the 105 mm I already have and isn't that much of an improvement over the Coolpix.
  
  The main thing wrong with this package is the smell of the items in it. I've noticed a very chemical, bad smell on many items made in China- from clothing to Croc shoes to now it appears, hard plastics. I've read that it's formaldehyde- and that it's used in warehouses to prevent molds, mildews, etc. It really reeks and is kinda of nauseating. I can't get the smell out of the cloth bag that comes in this kit, nor the cleaning cloth. I was able to wipe down most of the plastics and that seemed to have helped, but I had to throw out the cloth bag and cleaning cloth as well as some of the plastic items that the smell just wouldn't leave. Fabreeze didn't make a dent-
  
  If the items didn't have such a horrible stench, I'd be happier with the kit.
